Early Years Practitioner

Term Time Only-9am to 5pm daily

We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated Early Years Practitioners with experience of working across the EYFS Birth to 5 age range.

As an Early Years Practitioner you should have an in-depth understanding of how children learn and develop through the EYFS Framework. You must be able to use your own initiative and communicate effectively and work confidently with children, staff and parents. The role will include in the moment planning to engage the individual interests of your key children, supporting the day-to-day running of the setting, assessing and monitoring the progress children make with their learning using a tablet based system and promote their independence.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Early Years Practitioner to further develop their knowledge, skills and understanding as well as contribute towards the positive achievements of our setting.

Candidates should ideally have 2 years previous experience of working within a Nursery or Early Years setting. You should have good numeracy, literacy and communication skills and a minimum of a Level 3 in childcare.

You would be joining a caring, inclusive setting whose aim is for all children to thrive in their learning and development. The appointment will be subject to satisfactory DBS clearance and references. Visits to the nursery are welcomed and encouraged. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Keep Guard Day Nursery

 Catering Assistant

9am-2pm – Monday to Friday – all year round

 We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant.

 As part of this role you will need to:

  • Provide catering services including preparation of snacks, cooking prepared meals, serving and cleaning.
  • Ensure correct work practices and methods are used to produce high quality food service and comply with Food Safety and Health and safety legislation.
  • Carry out training as required.
  • Order and control all stock required in the service maintaining records as appropriate.
  • Ensure that the kitchen is correctly stocked with light equipment and first aid items.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in good safe working order. Report any defects in kitchen equipment or premises to the appropriate body.
  • Maintain good relationships with parent/carers.
